God Bears All Things
by Justene Martin
July 3, 2012
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1
Corinthians 13:7)
As we search these passages to find what God is really like, we find a
much different God than religion has long portrayed. For years we have
been told that God is angry with what we sinners have done, and is
waiting to judge us and send us to hell because of it. However, here we
see that Love (God) bears all things. He believes in His creation. He knows
there is still hope in us because He is the One who put it there from the
beginning.
God has patiently endured the persecution, the outright perversion of His
word and the destruction of His creation throughout time. Why? Because
He knows the outcome. Don't you think if God had given up hope of us
ever changing that He would have allowed us to disintegrate by now?
How will we ever begin to form the right assessment of God if we continue
to assume the religious hocus pocus which tells us He is a destroyer?
That He takes our loved ones, and sends sinners to hell. God does not
send sinners to hell. Hell has been reserved for those who reject God.
Everyone has been a sinner, but not all sinners have rejected God. Satan
rejected God so He knows hell is reserved for him and his fellow rejectors
of God. This is why he works so hard to delay the inevitable kingdom of
God. Those who truly know God, though they may miss it once in a while,
still never reject Him. They know their sins have been blotted out by the
blood of Jesus.
If we ever once get a glimpse of the unconditional Love that God IS, we will
never doubt or reject Him. This is why it is so important for us to allow God
to reveal Himself and His Son, Jesus to us through His word. It is simply
not enough to keep on listening and believing what religion has taught for
centuries. When you begin to truly LIVE as you hear God speak to you
through His word, you will finally understand how the mercy of God
endures forever!
God, Today help me to understand how vital your word and your love is to
my life. Your word is what holds all of creation together. Your love makes it
endurable, and brings us hope of a kingdom not made by the hand of
man. A Kingdom that will last forever! Amen
